Rangers often accept the role of protector, aiding those who live in or travel through the woods. His skills allow him to move quietly and stick to the shadows, especially in natural settings, and he also has special knowledge of certain types of creatures. Finally, an experienced ranger has such a tie to nature that he can actually draw on natural power to cast divine spells, much as a druid does, and like a druid he is often accompanied by animal companions. A ranger's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

So Russian is harder than i anticipated. Since I anticipated it to be difficult this not a good thing. I have increasing pressure from the Air Force to graduate, something that even still I dont really know will ever happen. The life of a E-5 does not appeal to me so it is imperative that i get my head into it, graduate, solidify my commission and go to whatever base they will let me go and start this military life I should have begun already. I talked to a friend of mine that is in a similar position today and he is just thinking of taking the hit and being a Tech Sargent. I do not think i want to do that. Though I would be working, adventuring to far away places and I could still go spec ops and have a unique job. My contract would be shortened as well. I don't know. A degree would be great, at one time i worked really hard just to get to where i could get one, that wasn't that long ago was it? Where did the drive go? I guess I fell into contentedness again. For someone that always says he wants more i sure don't act that way. I should work on that. That might be a good idea.

Well it has been a while but i feel that i had a good day i want to write about it. So, Muffin and I cooked diner for some friends we met through Spill the Beans. We had a great time cooking and aside from Jen asking me a countless about of questions, me trying desperately to answer them and get on to trying to find more out about Lindsey, Muffin not getting more than a sentence in and me being completely devoid of wit and feeling ever so OLD, i found that i enjoyed myself. Unfortunately lately i have been finding that i hate work and that the only thing that makes my time being there worth anything is the off chance, though a good off chance most of the time, that i I will see Lindsey. Then of course there is the inevitable feelings upon her departure. You know, those tinglings of longing, the sadness to see her go, the *ahem* enjoyment of watching her leave, and the new found feelings of i am just getting to damn old. Here i am, soon to be small business older, near the completion of THREE degrees, the beginning of a new degree, and of course the PILOT. Im young and have a lot more to come but i cant help but feel that i have little in common with the girls i find i have any kind of chance with. Oh, and i am older than almost every girls i know, by a small margin, okay a large margin..........okay it is a fucking canyon. I dont loose sleep over it. Instead i think that i will simply bow out to the younger and more in shape fellas out there and simply let life drop something along my way more suiting to a guy my age, intellect and of course, figure. On the plus side i have been hitting the gym five days a week now. It hurts, but hey if i like it.

So I have not offered up a lagit entry in quite some time. Lets see i the past while i have moved to a new place, bought and somewhat begun raising two dogs that jsut seem to always be able to out smart me, recievd my commision as a @nd Lt. in the USAF, lost and regained my pilot candidacy and com[pletely redun my wardrobe. Im sure there are a great deal other more fun things, no wait there are no fun things. I continue to work at Spill the Beans, where i am king. Well i at least like to think i am. I get the good fortune of getting paid to chat with fun people and collect my officer pay for no return other than a short training session every other week. I am now a certified excpert marksman with my M-92 9mm. and find that hilarious as prior to two weeks ago i had never fired a pistol in my life. Go AF standerds. I got a 4.0 last semester with 21 credits and that rules. Now all i have to do is do it again, and again. Took a little stab at the dating world, failed miserably yet i think that it was all well and good. I am not a good enough person to shoot in the direction i was going in. Got in yet another fist fight for the defence of soemone i didnt bother to find out if was in need. I have noticed that there is a mental line that is crossed when getting into a moronic display of testosterone man power. This line is the breaking point where you realise that you are going to hit someone. This line is a barriar that only stands until it is breached for the first time. After that initial break you no longer have the morale tie ups involved in raining massive amounts of pain down upon your foe. Luckily i am made of some unknown bionic metal that makes me imperviouse to bullets and other forms of enemy attack. Yeah, lucky me. i am starting to think that i am truely ment to fly for the Af and than to get lsot in a bottle of booze afterwards. I have tried to think about what i want to do with my life post-service. THan i realized that though i am commited to the oath i have sworn i also overwhelmingly did it for the safty involved. I know, fly in the air into combat to be safe smarty. What i mean by safety is that in all aspects of normal life i will no longer have to worry. I am financially stable for the first time ever. I do nto fear being able to provide for myself. i have a great reliable car. I have good credit again. I even am totally self sufficiant in paying all my bills, insuring my car, and feeding myself. I still have yet to officially organize my room but i am working on it. the safety i refer to is that i am now safe from the toils and worries of finances and the air force will move me around often enough to make heartbreak impossible. THus allowing me to devote my entire self into being the most bad ass killing machine in the skies. I have been ordered, upon completion of school to report to Tyndell Air Force Base in Florida to begin my training as Fighter Pilot in the 1st Airforce All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron. We are the bad asses that fly into the stormy skies, land on the carriers in the rain and snow, and all around blow the hell out of whatever it is no matter what the weather conditions. We are also most likely the dumbest most insane pilots the AF has to offer. Cool, i never h ave been a smart cookie anyhow!

So i am more than a little tipsy but still well off enough to type as usuall. i am a little pissed though. it becomes more evident everyday that i know very little females. Even less that are attractive, less that i am attracted too, and even less that i deserve. there is not enough alchohol in the world for me to lower my standerds and even less of a chance of me deserving a girl capable of meeting them. I am not special so why should i bother with standerds, Well as a guy it is my job to be a dick right? than why am i a push over to every girl i meet? why do i bother to help where i will obviously not be appriciated? So far this week i have fixed a door for a group of girls down the hall. i didnt think twice about it. i also beat the shit out of the guy up stairs for smacking his girlfriend around while stoned the other day. Am i an ass? i dont think these are the actions of an ass. Why than do people view me as one? i do what i can when i can and i think that i do go above and beyond when it counts. Why am i an ass than? i dont get it. I dont choose to gloat over the good that i do. i think that doing so ruins the point of it all. Should i gloat? will it ever get noticed? will the bruises mean anything? the girl that i so chivelrously saved the other night, she is back with the guy that beat the shit out of her. What is the fuckin point? you know it has been over a year. i could say the exact amount of time but it is depressing to say. it is almost an act of penace, the amount of of time i have spent downing myself. I have subjected myself to a level of humility that i feel has been appropriate. in actuality i am no better than dirt. But i do feel as if at the end of the day i have done all that i can to be better than i started. at the end of the day i have done something to make myself more than i was over a year ago. however in the end it seems to mean nothing. at my core i care. i care to a fault. i love humanity and all that it could oneday be if only it tried. I love it for what it is and what it may oneday be. It gives me hope. not for their souls, but mine own. i do what i can to deserve this life. there are times, i assume at least, that people rethink their life on a subtle level. Not one of those life changing times or anything, just a consious observtion of their lives up to a certain point and wonder at themselves. Sometimes in awe at their ability to stay afloat, their inability to succeed, the unfairness of it all, or maybe the absolute wonder that is life. Sometimes we are at a loss for words at the magnitude of it all. To think of all the things that had to coe together for life to exsist, it is a bit overwhelming. Than there are those that do not wonder at these things, they insted live the lives are given and dont look back and waste the time of thinking and instead "do". I am neither one. I think about my life at times and wonder on things, than i go stop matt, go do something. Well toaday i stopped for a long while and talked with a physician about my life, the possiblity of it changing dramaticly i nthe coming months and the things involved to make it so the next years of my life are "do" years and not "thinking" years. At this point i may or may not have Leukemia. Over the past few weeks i have apparantly passes out at times with no recolection of what happend. I dont even remember the time i lost or falling down. This prompted me to go to Red fern and see if they could look me over ans say matt, get more sleep or take this and you will feel better. After testing for anemiam, the flu, and a number of other allments they said that they want me to sechedule an appointment with the leukemia ceter in greenville and to do so as soo nas possible. Well i got my results today and in the teams of physitions opinions i have the very very earliest possible signs of leukemia. So they are sending me to Columbia to see a Doc. that specializes in early leukemia treatment. Now they also sent me to another center to ge ta second opinion, ill get those resultes tomarrow. THis time they jsut said to get a certain type of blood test and to not say that i want tested for leukemia. THis way there is no assumtion that the syptems are related to leukemia. i am not fearful. No cancer or virus is going to kill me, i have to much to get done and lot more sins to commit. My worst fear is the Air force finding out and me losing my pilot slot. I have been driven way to hard for my body to fail me now. I will just focus these next few months on makeing it the best machine i can. I ought a million vitamens and set an appointment with a nutritionest and planned a work out schedule. i will box on the 31st and i will win, than i will hit a normalized rutine. If there is a problem with my blood it will be that it is on the mat, not that it is dying. Fuck you leukemia, i will not lose my life to you. Nor will i lose my dreams.

Since it seems that everyone ahs made a slight return to the old live journal i figured it was my turn to banter on about my days from the last entry till now. Somethings are new, some old and still there. It is almost october and here i sit with uncertain orders. My former orders were recended and i am on temporary alert status. What does that mean, i wish i knew. In short i ahd to drop all my classes, re-sign up as auditing and than make a deal withthe school to give me credit if i do not leave before the semester ends. I dotn get tickets anymore, though that wasnt to big a deal thanks to work always being in the way, but i still get my membership to fike. This is excellent because i talked with a bunch of folks from the club fencing team the other day and willbe joining them weekly to poek at them with pointy metal objects. i am car-less and feeling it. i have found the wonders of the cat bus but have found that i greatly enjoy ride4s home from the incredibly hort girls that i work with. Well at least one of them, go ashley B. !!!!! damn her boyfirend, damn him to hell.

At least i spend the day with great eye candy and conversation. WoW has bored me to the final straw, it is no longer fun for me and i hate raiding. Finally! Been reading excessivly and returned to the work out schedule. Sadly i ahve not flown for sometime and fear that i am losing my skill with it. IU hope to get in the air this coming weekend but we will see.

Today the Navy made me an offer to fly for them. they will garantee me a spot in fighter school and match my bonus fro mthe AF as well as cover the checks i ahve already received. I would be startioned out of Charleston and have a shot at Mirimar, for those that dont know, that is Top Gun. Cjhildhood dream? YES! but we will see. F-22 is an awsome serial number.

So mark is gettign deplioyed soon, it was to be this week but his orders changed as well. Seems that the good old military is keeping us on our toes.

happy birthday to me. worst one yet. the roomies did buy me a drink though i think it was more do to the fact that their long time buddy also happens to share the same birthday. you know, the joyousness of the day belogns to the fact that it is your day. it belogns to you and no one else. it is there to celebrate your day of birth. fuck my biryhday, thank you for reminding me of my own insignificance to this mother fucking world.

for a while i have been torn between a few things. i leave i na month now. i embark o na new life with its own new beginnings. I tried to talk to someone that at one time, really got me. Well, no longer. I guess college is a breeding ground of librilism or maybe i have changed more than i thought. though these same feelings where there a very long time ago. leave of try and hold onto something. Well, in the end staying bit me in the ass. i had good time, great ones even. yet in the end all i got was a greatly watered down version of what i thought was there. in the end, not worth a damn thing. today i think that i have some great friends, some people that i should have paid far more attention to than i did, some that i should have chosen befoe other things in my life. Some that inspight of it all, all the wrong i have done them, do care. And the show it. others, fuck them. Crispy and jason, i wish you guys where here. All for one and one for all. ok so yesterday was 9-11, duh! i was all dolled up in my uniform and everything and flew my first ever mission in an f-16. Not really but im calling it that. I was at the stick the entire time, it was mine. It was great. All i can say is that about an hour after we landed back in anderson my heart was poubnding, i thrw up and cried for about ten minutes. Any possible emothion i could experiance i felt, all at once and at their peek. on the down/up side, no orders. All i have to say, I LOVE MY JOB!

Im writing it here because i do not want to talk about it. I was told today that tomarrow i am to report to the Air National Guard base i nanderson. I will dress in my dress uniform and take off dor atlanta. There i will participate in a flyby for the flag ceremony in remeberance of 9/11. After i will recieve my first orders. Somtime i nthe next month i am going to Maxwell AFB for emergency training. My normal OTS wil lbe shortened to a month with no cuts in qualification exams. I wil have two days of leave after and than i will begin my flight training at Tyndell AFB in florida for a year. I will miss out on school but commission has been approved. One day i will be able to come back and finish my degrees. Damn war.

I was told this may be coming last week. To those i have been a dick to, this is why. Im sorry.
This is the job i signed up for i jsut thought i was going to have a little more control for a while. Oh well at least i got what i wanted. I will be a RAptor pilot. number 45 of only 100 pilots that will be trained over the next year. We will get al lthe missions deemed to dangerous for the F-16 and 15 and will not have a mission success rate under 90/100. Frikkin SWEEET!.
